Wendy Ann Flies Again.

S.. It’s been a long and excellent three weeks.
I’ve never been so tired. And I’m so, so bloody proud.
Thankfully men can’t bear children, but if they could, they’d probably feel like I do now.
We have a new fifty ton baby, ain’t she gorgeous?

Fuck it. Words fail me. We finally launched little Wendy Ann 2 at about 9am on Monday 16th of February 2009. Here are some photographs.

Somehow we did it, the last three and a half years I mean. And by god we got away with it too.
My most sincere and heartfelt humble thanks to EVERY single person that has helped us along the journey to achieve this. You are too numerous to mention, but be told you must know who you are. Thank you all for giving me something to believe in.

Wendy Ann comes back from the dead. Part One, Job Done.

B here, I still can’t believe it. To the point where it still makes me kind of jump when I round to corner into the yard and she isn’t where she used to be…who the fuck has nicked my boat?! Then this immense sense of pride as I walk down the jetty to the launch (yes LAUNCH) berth and see our boat tied up there smiling at me. Yes- it is going to take some getting used to, the fact that I nearly ended up in the drink by forgetting that when you lean on a boat that is floating it will gently move away from you is just the start.

Nice one guys. Loads of love from Seb and Becky. X

Cats and Pigeons.

Writing, creative or otherwise may be a bit thin on the ground for the next two weeks; she's a going in the drink. Ready or not the big day is booked for Monday 16th February 2009 at about 8am, and there's so much to do. I pray to the deity of my choice that we have enough time to get it all done. Now where'd I leave that coffeepot...
